Established March 2020 by Thundercloud Repairian AKA James in the Arcadia Theatre, Guyra, Kamilaroi Country is the Australian Poetry Hall of Fame.

Mission Statement

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame preserves and celebrates Australian Languages, song-lines, poetry and prose in an archive accessible by all Australians.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame promotes the poetry and poets of Australia.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame nurtures and supports emerging and existing poets of Australia with opportunities to perform, competitions, publishing and education.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame celebrates our important poets past, present and future and houses a library/archive and museum of poetry in perpetuity for the benefit of all people of the world.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame provides employment for artists and also employment opportunities for the people and town of Guyra and districts.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame provides for the development of a regional multimedia hub providing written, audio and video production and studio.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame provides a regional arts and entertainment hub.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame develops and promotes Australian poetry and poets to an international audience by providing opportunities to develop their art.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame and museum serves as an archive and repository of original languages and song-lines of the first nations people, their stories and poetry.

The Australian Poetry Hall of fame reinvests 5% of all profits toward the preservation of the original languages of the original Australians so that all people can benefit from the wisdom and knowledge of the original custodians of our land.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame donate 10% of all profits to the nurturance and repair of our endangered fauna, flora, forest and riparian ecosystems.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame operate a profitable business model so that this important archive is preserved in perpetuity for the people of the world.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame commits to operating a sustainable business model which reduces and minimises adverse environmental impacts by ensuring ethically and locally sourced products and artists when possible.

The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame acknowledges the Kamilaroi and Banbai traditional owners and custodians of country on which we stand and the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and acknowledges their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the elders past, present and emerging.
